Preservation Plans: An Overview

A preservation plan is an essential document that helps collecting institutions thoughtfully and carefully chart a course for the preservation of their collections. In this webinar, participants will learn about the components that go into an effective preservation plan, tips for preparing for planning, and how to use a preservation plan to advocate for support for your collections.

DHPSNY Preservation Specialist

Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York (DHPSNY)

Kate Jacus is DHPSNY’s Preservation Specialist, providing preservation and assessment services and other educational programming for institutions across NYS. She previously worked at several museums, including as Collections Manager at Strong National Museum of Play. Kate founded The Photo Curator, a collections management service for families. She lives in Rochester and has an MS in Museum Studies from the University of Colorado - Boulder and an MBA from RIT.
